Marvel at amazing military and civilian aerial performances that fill the skies, and see a collection of military and vintage aircraft on display. You can browse the airshow for souvenirs and let your young future pilots play at the Kid’s Zone. Try and catch the Para-Commandos perform free-fall parachute jumps with the ultimate precision.
So, grab a few chairs and blankets and gaze up at the soaring aircraft blaze through the blue heaven above. You’ll find plenty of food and beverage vendors selling tasty festival treats and ice-cold beer. The scoop is that the Naval Air Station’s Southernmost Air Spectacular is totally free, even parking.
Now the Navy’s top air-to-air combat training station, the Naval Air Station Key West has a long, proud history. From the first naval flight in 1917 in a Curtiss N-9 seaplane, the NAS has served as “the tip of spear” during the Cuban Missile Crisis and most recently helped support humanitarian missions to Haiti.
