It’s back and it’s BIG! Featuring over 250 costumes, 20 set changes and 18 cast members, The Drowsy Chaperone is a delightful performance of musical comedy at The Waterfront Playhouse. The winner of five Tony Awards, The Drowsy Chaperone amuses the audience with good old fashioned slapstick comedy of chaos, mix-ups, and shenanigans and throws in a gay wedding for good style. The New York Observer sums it up best – “Smashing, witty and brilliant…I loved every mad minute of it!”
The Waterfront Playhouse is a cozy 150-seat theater located in the heart of Key West’s Mallory Square. Entertaining audiences for over 70 years, this professional theater attracts play goers with a wide variety of show types and legendary actors, like Kelly McGillis and Terrence McNally. Some of the most recent hit productions at The Waterfront Playhouse include Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Twelve Angry Men, and The Full Monty.
Before the curtain rises, grab a bite and a drink on Duval Street or catch the world famous sunset celebration at Mallory Square. Don’t worry, tickets are still available. Visit http://waterfrontplayhouse.org/shows/the-drowsy-chaperone/#tickets.
