The 39 Steps at The Waterfront Playhouse
Broadway’s longest running comedy is The 39 Steps by Alfred Hitchcock, and it comes to The Waterfront Playhouse in Key West this winter from December 18, 2012 to January 12, 2013.
A hilarious performance and fun display of theatrical innovation, the play (written by John Buchnan and adapted by Patrick Barlow) is a cinematic triumph that uses four actors to create over 150 characters. A winner of numerous “Best Play” awards including the Tony, Olivier and Drama Desk titles, this riotous performance is a fun night at the theater that patrons of all ages will enjoy.
The 39 Steps takes place at The Waterfront Playhouse, located in Mallory Square in Key West, Florida. Home to the oldest continually running theater group in Florida, this venue has been a Key West mainstay for over 70 years.
Opening night for The 39 Steps at The Waterfront Playhouse is Thursday, December 20, with previews held the previous nights on December 18 and 19. Advance tickets are available through The Waterfront Playhouse website and are highly recommended.
