If you love to fish and you will be coming to Key West from April to November than this tournament is for you! The Key West Fishing Tournament will run from April 6th to November 30th. It is a free tournament to enter and you can catch and release one of 37 qualifiying species to win one of the prizes. There will be a Kick-off event April 5th through 7th. Key West Songwriter’s Festival – La Concha Key West

We are so excited to have artists perform here at La Concha Key West again during the Key West Songwriter’s Festival. We will have several artists here on Friday, May 3rd playing at Jack’s Bar and then more on Sunday, May 5th playing by the pool. Here is the schedule and who will be playing:

Friday, May 3rd at Jack’s Bar

3pm: Jake Mitchell and Channing Wilson

4pm: Marjory Lee and Caitlyn Smith

5pm: Tommy Cecil, Blake Chaffin and Adam Craig

Sunday, May 5th Poolside at La Concha Key West

1pm: Gary Hannan and Phoenix Mendoza

2pm: Ryan Beaver and Shane Hines

3pm: Nik and Sam

Key West Paddleboard Classic

The 16th Annual Key West Paddleboard Classic is sure to be a fun event this year. The actual race is on May 11, 2013 but there will be 3 days of activities surrounding the race. The paddleboard race around Key West is 12 miles passing several island landmarks including Mallory Square and the Southernmost Point Marker. There are also shorter races that you can enter if 12 miles seems too far. The race will be changing the starting point from Smathers Beach to Higgs Beach this year so make sure you are in the right location!
